The information at my disposal shows that there are 26 firms manufacturing furniture in the Saorstát, employing, approximately, 1,350 persons. I am unable to say precisely the number employed at present, but this figure represents estimates of the average employment in 1924. I have no reason to anticipate that the present figure is substantially different from what I have given.
