Vol. 11 No. 8

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - OLD AGE PENSION CLAIM (WEXFORD).

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state why an old age pension has been refused to Bridget Kinsella, Ballinagore, Blackwater, County Wexford.

The last claim to the old age pension in this case was refused on the 3rd of February last on the ground of means. A previous claim was disallowed on the same ground on the 16th of July, 1924.

Would the Minister say how this decision was arrived at?

Miss Kinsella resides with her brother, sister, and nephew, on a farm of 25 Irish acres (valuation £29). The place is fully stocked and cultivated, and maintenance in that substantial home is estimated at worth over £39 5s. a year.
