Vol. 11 No. 8

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BOARD OF WORKS APPOINTMENT.

asked the Minister for Finance if, in view of the reply made on 27th March, 1925, to the deputation representing ex-National Forces Civil Servants Association and the Non-Permanent Government Clerks Association, when asked if he could not appoint their members to permanent posts under the powers conferred on him in Section 6 (b) of the Civil Service Regulation Act, 1924, he will state the reason for the permanent appointment of a clerical officer in the Office of Public Works on a date subsequent to the interview, which appointment duly appeared in the "Iris Oifigiúil."

The permanent appointment referred to was sanctioned as far back as the 26th March, 1923, and the Certificate of Qualification recently notified in "Iris Oifigiúil" would have been issued earlier but for pressure of other duties on the staff of the Civil Service Commission.
