Vol. 11 No. 10

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - NAAS UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he can state why Sylvester Carroll, Dublin Road, Naas, has not received unemployment benefit for a considerable time, although he has repeatedly applied to the Newbridge Office.

On a claim to unemployment benefit lodged by Sylvester Carroll, on the 26th March last, benefit was allowed for the maximum period of 90 days. Before payment could be made, circumstances arose calling for investigation of Mr. Carroll's title to benefit. The enquiries which are being made in the matter will be concluded as early as possible, and if, as a result, it is found that Mr. Carroll is entitled to benefit, there will be no avoidable delay in paying him.
