Vol. 13 No. 19

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT AND DISTRESS: SUPPLEMENTARY ESTIMATE TO BE INTRODUCED.

LIAM MAC SIOGHAIRD

asked the Minister for Finance whether, in view of the distress and unemployment created by losses of stock and other causes, he could not provide money for a scheme of relief works for the coming months.

It is intended to introduce during the present week a Supplementary Estimate in order to make further provision for the relief of unemployment and distress.

The Minister, in his reply, has made no reference to the losses of stock.

That would be covered by the term "distress."
