Vol. 14 No. 4

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - DIVISION OF CO. ROSCOMMON ESTATE.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire and divide the estate known as the Hughes Estate, situated in the townland of Killer and Foughenagh, in the parish of Ballintubber, Co. Roscommon, and, if so, if he will state when it is hoped that the estate will be taken over and divided.

Mr. HOGAN

The Land Commission have had the untenanted lands in the townlands of Killer, Caraun and Fohenagh, on the estate of William Glover, inspected with a view to deciding as to their suitability for acquisition under the 1923 Act, and the matter will be dealt with as expeditiously as possible. The estate of Hughes referred to cannot be identified.
