Vol. 14 No. 4

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - THE SHOOTING OF A PONY.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state when a pay order will be issued in respect of an award of £20 made by the Compensation (Ireland) Commission in respect of a claim by James Ryan, Boherglass, Rathbane, Co. Limerick, for the shooting of a pony by British forces.

The award referred to by the Deputy cannot be discharged until certain income tax arrears due by the claimant have been adjusted with the Revenue Commissioners. If the matter is not adjusted very shortly, the entire award must be paid over to the Commissioners in part satisfaction of the arrears.
