Vol. 14 No. 12

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - OLD AGE PENSIONS.

asked the Minister for Finance if, in view of the hardships now inflicted on many deserving old age pensioners due to unemployment in their families and amongst friends who previously rendered them financial help, he will consider the advisability of restoring the old age pension to ten shillings per week.

The question of restoring the maximum rate of old age pension to 10/- per week has not been overlooked, but I see no prospect of being able to effect the restoration in the near future.
