Vol. 14 No. 14

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - AWARDS CONTAINING REINSTATEMENT CONDITIONS.

TOMAS MAC EOIN

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state how many awards under Part II. of the Damage to Property (Compensation; Act, 1923, contain reinstatement conditions, and what is the total amount awarded subject to such conditions.

Up to the 28th ultimo the number of decrees and reports which had been lodged in my Department and to which reinstatement conditions were attached, was approximately 880, and the amount subject to reinstatement approximately £1,200,000. Further awards subject to reinstatement have, no doubt, been made by the courts, but have not so far been lodged.
