Vol. 15 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - TREATMENT OF RECLAIMED LAND.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if, in view of the drainage and reclamation of land at present going on in many places, he will give directions to the Department to draw up a leaflet dealing with the after treatment of such land, particularly as regards the removal of rushes in the most effective and economical manner, to be available for persons requiring this information.

Mr. HOGAN

I do not consider it necessary that the Department should issue a general leaflet on the subject referred to, as the methods to be employed in any particular case would depend on local circumstances, and in view of the fact that advice and assistance in such matters is already available in each county through the local agricultural instructors.
