WRITTEN ANSWERS. - LAND COMMISSION AND WESTMEATH LANDS.

SEAN O LAIDHIN

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he is now in a position to state, separately, if negotiations have been completed by the Land Commission for the purchase by them of the following lands in Westmeath for the relief of congestion, viz., the estates of Knockdrin, owned by Levings Trustees; Sonna, owned by Nuts Estate; Tyfarnham, owned by W. A. Robinson; Balrigh, Morinten, owned by Smyths; Balrath, Killucan, owned by Reynell; Kiltoom and Williamstown, Castlepollard, owned by Lord Longford; Billistown, Delvin, owned by Greville Nugent; Morington, Crookedwood, Mullingar, owned by McLoughlins; Balrown and Higginstown, Killucan, owned by Colonel Winters; Hownslow, Castlepollard, owned by Mrs. O'Neill; Corry, Castlepollard, owned by Mr. Thomas Killian, junr., and the lands of Mr. Gradwell, near Castlepollard, and if he will state when the said lands will be distributed.
