Vol. 15 No. 18

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - REPAIR OF LONGFORD BOG ROADS.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he can state whether it is the intention of the Land Commission to put in repair a bog road on the Archdale estate situated at Currygranny, Co. Longford, and, if so, how soon he expects the work to commence; also, if it is intended to complete a road left unfinished by the Land Commission some years ago and situated at Monascallen, near Kenagh, Co. Longford.

It is hoped to start the expenditure of a small unexpended balance on the Archdale estate at Curraghgranny by the end of this month, when it is expected weather conditions will be favourable for bog work. The road referred to in the latter part of the question was completed by the Land Commission so far as it lay on lands acquired by them.
