Vol. 16 No. 10

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - TULLOW WATER SUPPLY.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether an application from the Carlow Board of Health has been sent to his Department to have an inquiry held into the proposed water supply for the town of Tullow.

The latest particulars that are available on this subject relate to the meeting of the County Board of Health on the 19th April last, at which a resolution was passed that the proposed scheme for the provision of a water supply and sewerage system for the town of Tullow be abandoned. In view of the sanitary condition of the town and the need for an improved water supply, I have directed a local inquiry to be held into the matter.
