CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - MAJOR PHILLIPS' ESTATE (CASHEL).

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he will state whether the Land Commission have received an application from uneconomic holders and others for the division of the estate of Major Phillips, of Gaile, Cashel, and, if so, what steps have been taken towards the acquisition of the land in question for the purpose of division.

The Land Commission have received the application referred to with reference to the estate of Major Phillips and they are having the lands inspected with a view to deciding as to their suitability for acquisition under the provisions of the Land Act of 1923.
