Vol. 18 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BALLYRAGGAN FARM (KILDARE).

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether the Land Commission has decided to acquire the untenanted farm consisting of about 100 statute acres, in the townland of Ballyraggan, electoral division of Graney, Co. Kildare. held by Miss Mary Nolan, aged 80 years, with apparently no relatives, of Ricketstown, Co. Carlow, where she holds another farm of about 50 Irish acres, for the relief of congestion, and, if so, whether the claim of James Lawler, nephew of John Lawler, who was evicted from the Ballyraggan farm in 1897, will receive favourable consideration.

Mr. HOGAN

The lands of Ballyraggan referred to, have been inspected, and the question of their acquisition is under consideration.

An application for reinstatement of John Lawler in these lands has been received by the Land Commission and will be considered in the event of the Land Commission acquiring the lands.
