Vol. 18 No. 13

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - RE-VALUATION OF FARMS ON MAYO ESTATE.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if a re-valuation of the farms on the Thomas Tighe estate, The Heath, Scardane, Claremorris, has been made by the Irish Land Commission, and if so, if he will state when the result of the re-valuation will be made known to the tenants and the annuities fixed accordingly; if he is aware that the rents payable on this estate are excessive, and that a considerable portion of the holdings is subject to periodical flooding, and if he will take steps to have a reduction in the annuities or rents made immediately, as it is quite impossible for the occupiers to continue paying the present rents.

Mr. HOGAN

As it is necessary for the Land Commission to get certain particulars I would be obliged if the question was repeated in a week's time.
