Vol. 18 No. 15

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - REVINGTON ESTATE (TUAM).

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he will state the date on which the Revington Estate, Cloondalgin, Dunmore, Tuam, County Galway, was acquired by the Land Commission (or late Congested Districts Board); what improvements have been made in the estate since its acquisition by the Land Commission (or late C.D. Board) and how much (if any) of the estate has been divided among the uneconomic holders in the neighbourhood.

The estate of Thomas H. Revington comprised 47 holdings situate in townland of Cloondalgin, Co. Galway, and was vested on the 25th February, 1914, in the late Congested Districts Board. There is no untenanted land on the estate, and improvements of the holdings can be carried out only by rearrangement or migration. Three tenants have already been migrated to a neighbouring estate and the vacated lands have been divided amongst four other tenants, and the question of what further improvements can be effected will be considered.
