Vol. 18 No. 16

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - COUNTY KILDARE FARM.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether he is aware that a house and a farm containing about seventeen acres statute measure in the townland of Mylerstown, electoral division of Carnalway, barony of Naas South, and county of Kildare, held in fee simple and subject to a land purchase annuity of £10 4s. 10d., is advertised to be sold by public auction at Naas by the Representatives of the late Mr. Martin Kelly; whether the Land Commission will acquire this farm and allot it to Mr. Peter Cummins of Kilashee, Naas, who was, with his parents, evicted from it in 1883, the farm having been in continuous possession of the Cummins family since 1823.

The holding referred to is subject to a Land Purchase annuity and cannot be acquired under the Land Act, 1923, for the purpose of providing a holding for a former tenant.
