Vol. 25 No. 6

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CONDITION OF LIMERICK ROAD.

asked the Minster for Local Government and Public Health whether he is aware that the Ballylanders-Knocklong road, Co. Limerick, is in a deplorable condition and badly needs steam-rolling; and whether it is proposed to take any action in the matter.

Portion of this road is in bad condition. The attention of the County Council was drawn to the road by the Department in January last, and the County Surveyor reported to the Council that owing to the quashing of last year's rate there was no money to pay the men regularly, and consequently they could not be got to quarry or break material. Provision, of a limited nature, has been made by the County Council in this year's Road Works Scheme which will enable rolling to be carried out.
