Vol. 36 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Co. Carlow Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries when he intends to divide the lands acquired by the Land Commission in County Carlow, and whether, in view of the fact that the distribution of such lands amongst landless men and uneconomic holders would give much-needed employment in the matter of the fencing of such lands, etc., in the county, he will undertake to expedite the division of these lands before Christmas.

All of the untenanted land so far acquired by the Land Commission in County Carlow has already been divided. Schemes for the division of further lands for which the prices have been agreed on or fixed, but of which possession has not yet been taken from the owners by the Land Commission, are in course of preparation, and the lands will be divided as soon as possible after acquisition.
