Vol. 41 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Relief Works.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state if all relief works in the County of Cork which have been approved of have been stopped as from 19th March, 1932; and, if so, if he will state the reasons for such stoppage.

The Deputy appears to be under a misapprehension in regard to a direction issued by the Land Commission to their Inspectors with a view to having works which had been initiated under the Relief Vote, 1931-2, completed before the end of the current financial year. This, of course, has no reference to works undertaken under the recent Relief Act, which will proceed normally to their conclusion.
