asked the Minister for Finance if, in view of the fact that the lease of the present Gárda Síochána Barrack at Rossearbery is to expire this year, he is prepared to consider the erection of a new barrack on the site of the ruins of the old R.I.C. barrack, which site is vested in the Board of Works, and most suitable and convenient for the purpose.

It is not proposed to proceed at present with the erection of a new Gárda Síochána barrack at Rosscarbery. The lease of the existing barrack premises which are in a reasonably satisfactory condition, has still some years to run.
