Vol. 48 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Forestry Works at Kilworth.

Mr. Daly

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that considerable unemployment prevails in the Fermoy and Kilworth districts, County Cork, and whether it is his intention to reopen the forestry works at Kilworth for the usual cleaning works during the summer months.

There are ten labourers at present employed on State afforestation work at Kilworth. This number is sufficient for the routine work during the summer, and no additions in the immediate future are contemplated.
