The object of the Supplementary Estimate is to provide money for the payment of the cash portion of the compensation under the Damage to Property (Compensation) (Amendment) Act, 1933. It was originally estimated that the amount required would be in excess of £20,000, but owing to the late enactment of the measure the expenditure which will have to be incurred during the current year has been correspondingly reduced.

Question put and agreed to.
