Vol. 50 No. 4

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - The Road Traffic Act.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is now in a position to make regulations under the Road Traffic Act, 1933, to provide (a) that in road vehicles where seats are placed in front of each other there shall not be less than 2 feet 6 inches between the back of one seat and the front of another; (b) that gangways between seats shall not be less than 16 inches in width; and (c) that suitable racks for holding light articles shall be provided.

It is hoped to have regulations relating generally to these matters laid on the Table of the House in about a month's time.
