Vol. 51 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bounties on Shellfish.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that there has been a considerable delay in the payment of bounties on shellfish to shippers who complied with all the necessary regulations, and if he can state when those bounties will be paid.

I am aware that there has been delay, due mainly to difficulty in obtaining vouchers for British Customs duty paid.

Requirements in respect of vouchers have now been modified and as a result I expect that all claims will be disposed of by an early date.

Some of the payments have already been made on account, I understand?

The Minister says the total will be paid very soon?
