(a) The amount of the Purchase Annuities Fund on the 1st April last was £23,988 8s. 9d.

The sum of £881,293 18s. 2d. was paid into or disposed of for the benefit of the Exchequer in August, 1934, in respect of the whole amount of annuities due on the gale days 1st May and 1st June, 1934, and on account of sums paid for redemption of purchase annuities.
Sums amounting in the aggregate to £247,028 7s. 9d. were, in pursuance of the statutory arrangements, paid over to the Guarantee Fund during the period above in respect of arrears of annuities paid by purchasers.
(c) The balance on the Purchase Annuities Fund at 1st November, 1934, was £57,576 13s. 6d.
