asked the Minister for Justice whether he will state the number of aliens employed by the Electricity Supply Board who have applied for certificates of naturalisation, the number of persons in the service of the board to whom certificates of naturalisation have been granted, and the additional number to whom it is proposed to grant certificates; further, whether the Minister will state the grounds on which certificates of naturalisation are issued to aliens employed by the Electricity Supply Board.

Four aliens employed by the Electricity Supply Board have applied for certificates of naturalisation. Certificates of naturalisation have not so far been granted to any employees of the board. I am not at present prepared to say whether any such certificates will be issued to the applicants.
