Vol. 65 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether his attention was directed to a criticism, by the judge in the Circuit Court in Dublin, of the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934, and in particular to the fact that the circuit judge felt unable to give a declaration in favour of an applicant to which he believed the applicant was entitled in equity; whether, in view of these pronouncements from the bench, he is prepared to introduce at an early date proposals for amending the Act so as to remove the defects adverted to.

My attention has been directed to the criticism to which the Deputy refers, and I am having inquiries made in the matter.
