Vol. 66 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing on County Kildare Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when the house which is being built for Mrs. M. Montgomery, Derry, Donadea, on the Wallis estate at Newtown Hortland, County Kildare, will be available for her.

There is no allottee named Mrs. M. Montgomery on the Wallis estate at Newtown Hortland, County Kildare. If the Deputy refers to a Peter Montgomery, of Derrycrib, Donadea, the buildings in course of erection for this allottee are nearing completion.

The reason there is no allottee named Mrs. M. Montgomery is that the holding was allotted to her husband, who has died during the past couple of months. The answer of the Minister presumably relates to the same case. Can the Minister give any definite date on which this house is likely to be completed, because it is two years since this woman was promised a house and she has to go two and a half miles to her holding at present?

Mr. Boland

The house is near completion. As Deputies are aware, I do not give exact dates in connection with these matters.
