Vol. 69 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Subsidy on Stall-Fed Cattle.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that owing to the operation of a bounty on English stall-fed cattle, Irish fat cattle are at a serious disadvantage as compared with stores on the English market, and if he will consider the giving of a subsidy on stall-fed cattle during the stall-feeding season.

I am aware of the disadvantage to which the Deputy refers and the matter is receiving consideration.
