Vol. 69 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Industrial Alcohol: Production Cost.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state what is the cost, or estimated cost, of producing industrial alcohol per gallon in the plants of the Industrial Alcohol Company, and how much potatoes are required to produce one gallon of industrial alcohol on the average.

The second of the five industrial alcohol distilleries has only entered upon production, and it is, therefore, too early to make a definite statement as to the cost of industrial alcohol per gallon or the quantities of home-grown potatoes required to produce one gallon of alcohol.
