Vol. 69 No. 19

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fishing Rights in Lough Foyle.

asked the Minister for External Affairs if he will state whether he has finally secured for nationals of Éire the right to fish in the territorial waters of Lough Foyle.

I refer the Deputy to the statement I made on the 12th August, 1936, in answer to a question by the late Deputy Burke on the position regarding Lough Foyle. I regret I have nothing to add to that statement.

Arising out of the Prime Minister's reply, might I refer him to the many statements he made prior to 1932 and to the hundreds of statements made by his supporters in the County Donegal prior to 1932? These are forgotten.
