Vol. 70 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Banking Commission Report.

asked the Minister for Finance if he has received the report of the Banking Commission, and, if so, when he proposes circulating it to Deputies.

I have not yet received any report from the Banking Commission, but I understand that the various reports have been signed and are being put in order by the Secretariat of the Commission for transmission to me. They are, I believe, bulky documents and until I have had an opportunity of reading and considering them, I am not in a position to say when they will be circulated to Deputies.

Has any draft report, or have any extracts from the report, reached the Prime Minister or the Minister?

I cannot speak for the Prime Minister, but they certainly have not reached me.
