Vol. 71 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Kildare Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the lands of Mrs. Amelia Monaghan, containing 164 acres, at Timahoe East, on the Dobbs estate (Record No. 5 2870), County Kildare, and, if so, whether he is in a position to indicate, approximately, when the lands will be divided.

Mr. Boland

On 8th February last the Land Commission gazetted a notice of their intention to apply to the Appeal Tribunal for leave to resume the holding of Mrs. Amelia Monaghan unless a petition, praying that the holding be not resumed without further inquiry, was lodged within the prescribed time. A petition has been lodged but has not yet been heard by the Land Commission. At the present state of the proceedings it is not possible to state whether or when the lands will be resumed and divided.
