Vol. 74 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Kildare Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the inquiries into the acquisition of lands registered in the name of Miss N. Healy at Goatstown, Downings, Prosperous, County Kildare (Bury estate) have yet been completed; and whether he is in a position to state whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the lands.

Mr. Boland

Inquiries in regard to these lands have not yet been completed.

Is the Minister aware of the fact that he intimated about two years ago that these inquiries were being instituted and would he give some idea to the House of the minimum and maximum period necessary for the Land Commission to complete inquiries in such cases?

Mr. Boland

It all depends on the circumstances of the case.

Would the Minister say what is the average time? This has taken two years.

Mr. Boland

I would have to get notice of that question.

I shall give you notice for next Wednesday.

Mr. Boland

Very well.
