Vol. 76 No. 2

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Home-Produced Sugar.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the output of home-produced sugar in each of the financial years 1935-36, 1936-37, 1937-38 and 1938-39; the quantity of sugar imported in each of these years, and the quantity it is estimated will be imported in the current financial year.

As the answer contains a number of figures, I propose to circulate it with the Official Report.

Following is the answer:—

Output of home produced beet sugar and the quantity of sugar imported in each of the financial years 1935-36, 1936-37, 1937-38, 1938-39.
