Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Savings Certificates.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in respect of each county (a) the total amount invested in savings certificates, (b) the amount so invested per head of the county population on (1) 31st December, 1935; (2) the 31st December, 1936; (3) the 31st December, 1937; and (4) the 31st December, 1938; and if he will state the gross total of the amount so invested on each of these dates (1) by persons living within Eire, and (2) others.

The reply to the Deputy's question is in the form of tabular statements which with the Deputy's permission will be inserted in the Official Report of today's proceedings.

Following are the statements:—
