Vol. 76 No. 13

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ticknevin Peat Fuel Factory.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is yet in a position to intimate whether the Peat Fuel Factory at Ticknevin is likely to be reopened, and employment provided for 200 men who were recently paid off in consequence of the closing down of the factory.

I am not yet in a position to make a statement as to the future of the Peat Fuel Factory at Ticknevin.

Can the Minister say when he hopes to do so?

I could not say now.

Is there a prospect of the undertaking being developed?

I could not say.

Are any negotiations taking place?

I could not answer that question.

Will the Minister deny that there are?

I do not propose to deny anything.
