Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Imports of Petrol, Tea, Maize and Flour.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the number of gallons of petrol landed in Éire during each of the months September, October and November, 1939.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the number of lbs. weight of tea landed in Éire during each of the months September, October and November, 1939.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the number of tons of maize landed in Éire during each of the months September, October and November, 1939.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the number of sacks (2½ cwts.) of flour imported into Éire for each of the three months September, October and November, 1939, and the aggregate c.i.f. value of each month's landings.

I propose to reply to questions Nos. 8, 9, 10 and 11 together. The Deputy will have observed that in the monthly return of trade statistics recently issued a summary only of imports and exports was given. On grounds of public policy, it has been decided not to publish for the present in any form more details than are given in this summary.
