Vol. 82 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Supplies of Turnip and Mangold Seed.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he can state whether, in addition to the supplies at present available, any further supplies of turnip and mangold seed can be obtained as in the event of same being unobtainable a statement to this effect should be made at once to enable farmers to plan the sowing of other crops in the land on which they intended to sow turnips and mangolds.

I understand that limited supplies of certain varieties of both turnip and mangold seeds are at present available and that possibly further limited supplies may be released later. Farmers should, therefore, as already advised, exercise the greatest economy in the sowing of these seeds.
