Vol. 83 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Grants for Teaching of Irish.

Mr. Broderick

asked the Minister for Education if he will lay on the Table of the Dáil a copy of a circular addressed to secondary schools with reference to revised grants for the teaching of Irish and a statement showing the character of the grants made during the year previous to the revision.

I assume that this question refers to the revision made in the grants paid to secondary schools for teaching through the medium of Irish, and that the character of the grants means the manner in which they were calculated. I am arranging to have copies of the circular regarding the revision of these grants, and of the rules under which they were formerly calculated, placed in the Dáil Library.
