Vol. 84 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Awards for Gallantry.

asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware of the expediency of establishing an Irish society or institution endowed by State funds for the purpose of making awards, by money and/or by certificate, to persons who show conspicuous gallantry in saving human life; and, if so, when he will give legislative effect to such a proposal.

Mr. Boland

This matter is under consideration in my Department.
