Vol. 85 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Supply of Service Respirators to Clergymen.

asked the Minister for the Co-ordination of Defensive Measures if it is intended to supply clergymen with service respirators in districts where ordinary respirators have already been distributed.

It is not intended to make personal issue of service or civilian duty respirators to clergymen. In the event of an emergency, civilian duty respirators will be available at first-aid posts in the County Borough of Dublin and in the Borough of Dun Laoghaire for the use of clergymen who have intimated their desire to be assigned to the posts for duty in their capacity as clergymen. Similar arrangements will be made in the case of the County Boroughs of Cork, Limerick and Waterford and in the scheduled areas of Bray Urban District Council, Cobh Urban District Council, Drogheda Borough, Dundalk Urban District Council and Wexford Borough.
