Vol. 85 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Inspection of Tipperary Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what was the report of the inspector who inspected the Heffernan estate, Dogstown, New Inn, Cashel, County Tipperary; if it is proposed to acquire the estate, and, if so, when, and if he will explain the delay in doing so; further, if the Minister is aware that four years ago the auction was withdrawn by the auctioneer in favour of the acquisition of the estate by the Land Commission for division among local uneconomic holders and landless men; and if the Minister will expedite the acquisition and division of the estate.

As the Deputy was informed in reply to a previous question, a decision as to the acquisition of the lands of Dogstown, on the Heffernan estate, has been deferred by the Land Commission for the present owing to emergency conditions.
