Vol. 86 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Whiskey Supplies.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he is in a position to state whether there is over ten years' supply of whiskey in the country without the present day distilling, and if he will consider bartering about three years of our home supply with Great Britain in exchange for extra supplies of petrol and coal.

Stocks of whiskey are sufficient to meet home requirements for a considerable time. I am satisfied, however, that it would not be practicable to effect an exchange on the lines suggested by the Deputy.
