Vol. 87 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Road Drains.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that water from the road drains has been discharged on to private property adjoining Torquay Road, Foxrock, and if he will state whether this is due to defective drains, or wrong levels; and whether he is aware that this stagnant water is a menace to the health of the inhabitants.

From such information as there is in my Department in regard to this matter I understand that the stagnant water referred to is due to the bottom of the drain in the premises known as "Glenogan" being lower than the level of the bottom of the drain in the adjoining premises on the down-stream side. The matter of the proper level of the stream is one for the occupiers of the affected premises.
