asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the reason for the issue of Emergency Powers (Sale of Turf in Dublin City and County) (No. 1) Order, 1941 (Revocation) Order, 1942, dated 26th June, 1942; and what effect on or connection with the sale of turf in Dublin City and County it is intended to have.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sale of Turf in Dublin.
The original Order made by the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance was superseded in effect by the Emergency Powers (Control of Prices) (No. 106) Order of 1st November, 1941, made by the Minister for Supplies. The revocation of the earlier Order is now in the nature of a formality and has no effect on, or practical connection with, the sale of turf in Dublin City and County.
It is merely a question of keeping the file right?
The legal position, perhaps.
