Vol. 89 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Road Workers' Wages.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he is now in a position to sanction the proposal for increased wages for all grades of road workers in County Cork.

No, but I hope to be in a position to deal with this matter at an early date.

Mr. Brennan

Has there been any instruction from the Minister to county managers generally that an increase to road workers ought not to include an increase to road gangers?

That is quite a separate question.

Can the Minister give me any information as to how soon he will come to a decision in this matter?

Probably before the end of the week.
