Vol. 90 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rationing of Potatoes.

Mr. Byrne

asked the Minister for Supplies if he will see that any available supplies of potatoes will be equally divided, and whether in order to ensure a proper share for each family, he will cause potatoes to be rationed.

The Minister for Agriculture has taken special steps to relieve the situation caused by the temporary shortage of potato supplies. As ample quantities should be available in a few weeks' time, it is not proposed to introduce a rationing scheme.

Will the Minister say where the ample supplies will come from in a week's time?

I did not say they were coming in a week's time.
